What we collect

• Account: email, optional name and phone
• Pet profile: name, species, breed, photo, weight, date of birth
• Tracker data: GPS coordinates, battery, signal, activity counts
• Usage: screens viewed, features used (anonymised)

How we use it

• To show your pet's location and trip history
• To send geofence alerts and battery warnings
• To compute personalised insurance quotes (only if you ask for one)
• To award and track PawPoints / voucher redemptions
• To improve the product (aggregated, never identified)

Who we share with

Insurance partners — only when you explicitly request a quote. Voucher partners — only the redemption code, no personal info. Cloud infrastructure — Supabase (London) and Microsoft Azure (South Africa North) under signed data-processing agreements.

Where data lives

Pet, tracker and account data sits in our Supabase EU region. Real-time tracker GPS data flows through our Azure server in Johannesburg.

Your rights (POPIA)

You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time. Email privacy@winkeey.com and we'll action it within 7 working days.

Cookies

The website uses essential session cookies for sign-in. We don't use third-party tracking cookies.

Winkee is for adults (18+). Account holders are responsible for any pet under their care.
